The Gable Roof is a slanted or pitched roof that creates flat areas on the front, side or back of the house. It is where two sloping sides come together at a ridge, creating end walls with a triangular extension, developing a gable at the top.
The Gable Roof is most common roof shape in cold or temperate climates, however it can be constructed as Carports, Awnings and Pergolas. The pitch of a gable roof can vary greatly. Some benefits of gable roofs are that they are attractive, easy to install, have excellent drainage, provide extra space and a healthy ecosystem whilst having low costs.
